We would we quite happy to provide you with a quote to supply an access ramp. There are a few details we would require in order to give you an accurate quote. It would help us a lot if you could provide a simple site plan to include;
- Step heights
- Building dimensions
- Distances to boundary lines/fences
- Door width
- Position of top step face in relation to face of building
- A couple of photographs would be extremely helpful in producing the quote drawing.
- Any Manholes, Stop Cocks etc.which may interfere with position of access ramp.
- Drain pipes/gullies that may interfere with position of access ramp.
- Any slopes either upwards or downwards away from door step
The step height is particularly important as the current building regulations dictate that an access ramp into a dwelling must have a gradient not exceeding 1 in 12 (for every inch of step height the ramp should be at least twelve inches in length excluding landings).
